Marionette Puppets

Puppets are a wonderful way to communicate with children. Students can make a puppet using paper Mache. Next, students can learn about the process of clay and shape the puppets feet and hands. The class can design; accessorize the puppet and select glazes for color. For the faces, students use acrylic paint. Finally, they preselect fabric for their puppet’s clothes.

This project allowed students to explore many different mediums and when assembled a unique piece of artwork.
