Pablo Picasso Cubism

Pablo through the eyes of a child; In class students learn about the artist Pablo Picasso and his style cubism. A project allows students to begin understanding the transition from reality to abstract.

To simulate his style the class started by drawing their own self portrait on paper. Next they took their self-portrait and divided into sections and each section was reassembled into an abstract form.

After instructions on painting, students started painting on canvas. The class worked hard carefully painting details and outlining each section.
